Dragon Japanese Tea Set

One dragon dobin and two dragon cups, made to match, from Hasami in Nagasaki.

The Dragon Japanese Tea Set puts our Dragon Kyusu together with a pair of Dragon Yunomi. The pot is a 500 ml dobin in pale blue-white porcelain with a woven top handle and a removable mesh infuser; the cups are 130 ml sencha cups. All three carry the same blue dragon, so the set looks right laid out together and makes an easy gift for someone who already drinks Japanese tea, or is about to start. Add a bag of organic sencha or genmaicha and the gift is complete.

Hasami ware (波佐見焼, Hasami-yaki) comes from the town of Hasami in northern Nagasaki Prefecture, with a ceramic tradition of more than 400 years. Today Hasami is still one of Japan's top three regions by shipment volume for everyday tableware, valued for durable, easy-to-use porcelain that is consistent from piece to piece.
