How It Runs

Two hours, hands to cup

Every session is split evenly between learning the story behind Japanese tea and actually making it yourself.

Part One — 60 min

Tea Knowledge

  • History and culture of Japanese tea
  • Tea components and health benefits
  • Types of Japanese tea and brewing methods
  • Production of green tea
  • Production of matcha
Part Two — 60 min

Hands-On Demonstration

  • Guided demonstration of proper technique
  • Prepare your own bowl of matcha
  • Brew your own cup of green tea (sencha)
  • Questions welcome throughout
