Momoiro, meaning Peach Colour.
Tokoname ware, also known as Tokoname-yaki, is a type of Japanese pottery that originated in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture in central Japan. It is one of Japan's oldest and most renowned ceramic traditions, dating back over 1,000 years.
Present day Tokoname is known for its production of the Kyusu teapot. The Momoiro Kyusu is finished in a soft, peach-toned glaze, adorned with delicate floral sprays in green and white across the body. Its gentle palette and playful pattern bring a touch of spring to the tea table, while still carrying the craftsmanship and heritage of over a thousand years of Tokoname pottery.
