This kyusu takes its name from the word Isshin (一心) meaning "one mind" or "wholeheartedness." It reflects a state of total, undivided presence and sincerity. Handcrafted in Tokoname, one of Japan's six ancient kiln towns with over 1,000 years of ceramic heritage, this kyusu teapot wears its origins proudly in every curve and grain.

Tokoname clay is prized for its distinctive reddish hue, exceptional heat retention, and natural porosity. Qualities that subtly mellow the taste of tea with every brew. Over time, the clay absorbs the essence of your tea, making each Isshin Kyusu a deeply personal vessel that only improves with use.

Origin: Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Capacity: 320 ml (approx.)
Material: Tokoname iron-rich clay

Natural variations in shape, colour, and capacity are a hallmark of authentic Tokoname ware.

Each piece is made by hand, so the glaze on yours will differ from the photograph. That variation is the character of the piece, not a flaw.
