The Gosu Chawan takes its name from Gosu (呉須), the rich cobalt pigment traditionally used in Japanese ceramics to create deep, expressive blue tones.

Handcrafted in Mino, one of Japan's oldest and most revered pottery regions, this matcha bowl channels over 1,300 years of ceramic mastery into every brushstroke and firing.

Whether used daily or in the formal tea ceremony, the Gosu Chawan brings quiet drama and artisanal depth to every bowl of matcha.

Origin: Mino, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
Diameter: 12.5 cm (approx.)
Height: 7.5 cm (approx.)

Natural variations in glaze, colour, and finish are a hallmark of authentic Mino ware.

Ships Australia-wide and worldwide from our Sydney studio, with free Australian shipping on orders over $100. See the full range of matcha bowls.

Each piece is made by hand, so the glaze on yours will differ from the photograph. That variation is the character of the piece, not a flaw.
