Chilling Neko, meaning Chilling Cat.
Mino ware, or Mino-yaki, is one of Japan's most celebrated pottery traditions, produced in the Gifu Prefecture region for over 1,300 years. Known for its diversity of glazes and techniques, Mino ware has long been favoured for its versatility and understated beauty.
The Chilling Neko cup features a charming cat design in traditional sometsuke blue-and-white style, sitting back with eyes closed in a moment of quiet relaxation, paw prints scattered playfully around the cup. A looping cord motif runs along the rim, adding a whimsical touch. Finished on a clean white glaze, this cup brings a touch of everyday charm to your tea routine.
Made in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
Volume: 190 ml
Please note: The shape, colours, and capacity of each cup may vary, a testament to their individuality and the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into each piece.
Ships Australia-wide and worldwide from our Sydney studio, with free Australian shipping on orders over $100. See the full range of Japanese tea cups.
Each piece is made by hand, so the glaze on yours will differ from the photograph. That variation is the character of the piece, not a flaw.
