Aoi Hana, meaning Blue Flower.
Hasami ware (Hasami-yaki) is porcelain from the town of Hasami in Nagasaki Prefecture, southern Japan. Lighter and harder than stoneware, it was made for everyday use. Practical enough for daily tea, fine enough for guests.
Made in Nagasaki, Japan
Diameter: 9.1 cm
Height: 6.4 cm
Please note: The condition of the glaze differs from one to another due to the characteristics of the pottery, so the colour and size may differ from the image.
Ships Australia-wide and worldwide, with free Australian shipping on orders over $100. See the full range of Japanese tea cups.
Each piece is made by hand, so the glaze on yours will differ from the photograph. That variation is the character of the piece, not a flaw.
