Aka-Tsubaki (赤椿), meaning red camellia. A cream matcha bowl with a large camellia in bloom.
The Aka-Tsubaki is a matcha bowl in a cream glaze with soft horizontal lines, decorated with a large salmon-pink camellia between grey-blue leaves and scattered dots. Its yellow centre is ringed with white-tipped stamens. A dark band runs around the lower body above a bare cream foot, and a smaller camellia sits just inside the rim. It is 13 cm across and 8 cm tall, with room to whisk.
