The Ume Yuzamashi is a hand-painted hot water cooler crafted in Tokoname, one of Japan's most celebrated kiln towns. Its matte black clay body features a delicate cascading ume (plum blossom) motif — a beautiful and functional addition to any tea practice.
Temperature is everything in Japanese tea. Simply pour boiling water into the yuzamashi to cool it to your ideal brewing temperature:
Gyokuro: ~50°C
Sencha & Matcha: 70–80°C
Hojicha & Oolong: 90°C+
Each piece is individually hand-painted in Tokoname, Japan, meaning no two are exactly alike — a true mark of authentic Japanese craft.
