A blue dragon runs across the belly of the pot, a matching blue ring circles the lid, and a woven handle arches over the top on two black metal hooks. Inside sits a removable mesh basket, so loose-leaf sencha, genmaicha or hojicha can be brewed straight in the pot and the leaves lifted out the moment the tea is right. A dobin holds more than a side-handle kyusu, which makes this the pot for three or four cups at once.
